A lot of people have this misconception about the difference between dieting and Starving. More often when you tell a person that you want to lose weight they tell you to eat less number of meals and do more exercise.
When i began my quest to weight loss i decided to ask around a bit and gain some insight as to how i could lose weight, In return i got all sorts of ridiculous answers like "i should eat less", "i should eat once a day", " I should take laxatives on daily bases", "i should eat smaller portions of meal once a day", " i should go on a fruit fast or a vegetable fast". The problem with all these solutions are that they are plain stupid and i will state why.
The meals we eat daily are a vital source of energy and in other to exercise effectively, we need enough food intake to power our bodies through those strenuous exercises.
Furthermore it is a proven fact (Scientifically and otherwise) that if you stop or reduce the intake of food to a considerable amount your body begin's to think you are starving and starts storing up fat for later use.
Laxatives and other related drugs only make you lose body water not the fat so if you are really serious about weight loss i suggest you stop using that
Eating smaller portions of food is effective but it is only effective if you eat at least three times daily.
Dieting on the other hand has to do with watching the composition of your meals and taking in the right amount of each of the six classes of food these includes the low and reduced intake of fats , oil and carbohydrates and an increase in proteins, fiber, vitamins, and water. These meals are designed to burn fat, grow muscles and improve your general fitness.
Bottom line don't bother yourself about how long you intend to starve but rather how well you can enjoy these diet meals and in the end achieve that fit body you have always wanted.
